Guánabana bags are handmade by Wayuu artisans. Wayuu people live in the Colombian region of La Guajira, near the sea. The legend says that a spider called Waleker taught the women of the Wayuu community how to weave. Since then, weaving has been their way of self-expression. This ancestral technique has been passed down from mothers to daughters, generation to generation, and has became part of the Colombian tradition.
